Saturday Series

There appears to be a demand for Saturday golf at Innellan. Although the Fixture List has been published and will run as stated unless a necessary change has to be made, it has been decided that a Saturday Series will be offered in addition. It is proposed will be played over 24 Saturdays throughout the season and the best 10 scores’ aggregate will decide the winner. This proposal will be reviewed and the number of rounds to be played may be shortened and the number of counting scores similarly if there is not sufficient playing demand. The number of competitors throughout the series will determine the prize fund and the number of players eligible for a prize. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the player with the better 5 scores total. If still tied, the better 4, then the better 3, then the better 2, then best round.

Scores from this series will not be eligible for the P McKerral Order of Merit.

This competition series will be played on the following dates.

Format:        Medal Stroke Play Handicap Qualifier

Tees:            White

Entry:          £4 (£2 Prize Fund, £2 Individual Competition Sweep)

                   Any 2’s scored will not be eligible for the J Campbell Trophy  

Ballot:          Running Ballot all day. If Clubhouse main door is closed, scorecards and entry fee in envelope with name can be put through the letterbox. Scores will be put in the computer the following day. Otherwise normal entry and card return protocol to be observed.

Sweep:         If tied, winner decided on better inward 9 holes. If still tied, then

6 holes, then 3 holes, then last hole.
