COVID-19 RE-START 29 May 2020
INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEMBERS
During lockdown, the club has been strictly following the guidance received from Scottish Golf and the R and A related to both the non-playing of golf and the maintenance of the course. We expect to be able to return to playing golf on Friday 29 May 2020 but on restricted terms. We again are following the guidelines from Scottish Golf and we all must adhere to these guidelines. You can see more information here https://scottishgolf.org/coronavirus-covid-19-updates/ The safety of the staff and members is paramount and only by everyone following the procedures below will we be able to continue to play golf once again.
Tee boxes and bins have been removed. Benches and seats should not be used. Golf shoe brusher removed. Flagsticks have been retained but DO NOT TOUCH. Hole liners have been inverted so that golf ball can be retrieved easily. Practice nets not to be used and putting green holes filled in. No club trolleys for hire. No access to clubhouse or toilet facilities.
BEFORE THE ROUND
If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please STAY AT HOME.
Only 2020 paid -up members allowed on the course. No visitors or guests.
We have introduced a temporary online booking system on the club website as instructed by Scottish Golf. This system enables us to return to play on 29 May. We have been told that we must have a record of all golfers who have played the course for track and testing purposes. We hope to move to a more robust system as soon as possible so please bear with us. Please arrange your game in advance – do not turn up in the hope of playing with someone. TEE TIMES MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE. Groups arriving at pre-arranged time not permitted. They should arrange to book times amongst themselves prior to arrival. Times have been restricted to allow greens’ staff to work safely early morning and to avoid congestion at first tee. Please understand these limits have been set for everyone’s safety. We will ease them as soon as we are allowed.
To book a tee-time go to the website at http://innellangolfclub.co.uk/. From the top menu choose ‘book on-line’ which will take you to the new system. Choose the date and time that you wish to play from the calendar. There are up to three places per tee-time. Enter the names of all those playing, bearing in mind the new regulations (see rules below) and enter email address for confirmation by email. Press submit and you should get a message to say you were successful. The number beside the tee-time will now show the places available for that tee-time. Members should be aware that if the number beside the tee time is 1 or 2 it means someone has already booked that time. No names will be visible on the booking system but you should get an email to confirm your booking. Please check your spam if it doesn’t appear in your inbox.
Ensure your group size is no greater than permitted:
Ensure you have all the necessary equipment – sharing any equipment is not permitted. Use toilet facilities at home before coming to the course. Please wash hands and equipment before you come to the course. Bring your own food and any drinks if required. Bring your own hand gel and use during round. Aim to arrive no earlier than 10/15 mins prior to play. Travel to the course on your own or with members of your own household only. Please park your car to enable others to social distance. Only approach practice putting green when it is free and putt to a tee peg.
ON THE COURSE
Wait till first tee clears before going to the tee. Please maintain good speed of play. Social golf only to begin with, score cards will not be available. Always observe physical distancing on the course. Wait till group ahead have left before going to the next tee. Do not pick up/touch other players’ equipment or ball. Only use handrails if required. If ball is lost, drop ball per 2019 updated rules, do not return to play shot. Putt with flagstick in and remove your own ball or preferably ‘gimmie’
